Who's to blame for the Global Ocean Shipping Chaos? (Patrik Berglund, CEO at Xeneta and Jonas Krumland, CEO at Logward)

Show notes

Today's episode of the Logistics Tribe Podcast is all about ocean transportation. Since the beginning of the pandemic, ocean freight rates have skyrocketed, there are major container and equipment shortages, misallocations, heavy port congestion and disruptions of supply chains because of it. This situation did not simply happen over night. In fact, the underlying causes were a long time in the making.

That's why we invited to experts onto the show to take a deep dive into all things ocean transportation with a special focus on the freight procurement process and the relationship between shippers, carriers and freight forwarders.

Our guests today are Patrik Berglund, Founder and CEO of Xeneta, a freight rate benchmarking platform based in Oslo, Norway and Jonas Krumland, Founder and CEO of Logward, a cloud-based supply chain as a service platform based in Hamburg, Germany.

The host of today's show is Boris Felgendreher
